ABOUT US

Derby 14-19 is a joint venture between the University of Derby and Derby City Council Education Service combining educational and technical expertise with a real-world focus.

We offer an expanding range of e-learning and e-assessment resources to schools and colleges many of which we have developed in-house. These include the Bioscope virtual microscope, developed by us for Cambridge Hitachi and nominated for a BETT 2006 award.

In addition to resources targetted on the curriculum, we are developing tools for teachers that speed up time-consuming tasks such as assessment or keeping your school website up-to-date. QuickTri, to be released in Autumn 2006, is a genuinely easy-to-use assessment authoring tool for teachers. Our ISS Intelligent Shell System enables you to keep your school website up-to-date without technical skills.
